Pros: 1U surge protection. most plugs on inside – keeps the rack tidy Cons: I’m stretching- but a 12V outlet to run cooling fans would be a great addition to these rack mouted power strips.
This wasn’t listed to have one- so you can see how far of a stretch to find something to gripe about on this unit. Overall Review: I have a 14U case for the HTPC, AVR, BR player…normal stuff. But I did want a surge protector and having it use one space on the back of the rack is nice. There is a cover over the switch which is nice- you actually have a few seconds and this extra step to confirm you want ALL the power off.
Do make sure you aren’t overloading your circuit. Sure you have 12 outlets..but is your circuit shared with your toaster, orwife’s hair dryer? Never hurts to be sure.

Provides great protection to my gear. Cons: None. Overall Review: I bought one and installed it in my rack. Works great but I have too much equipment. I bought a second one to distribute the load. They look great on my rack and I feel that my gear is protected in the event of an electrical surge.
