Pros: Very sturdy Rack. I had a Dell R5400 Rack mountable workstation and purchased to R310 1U servers. The rail kits snapped in place without any real effort, like they were made for each other. Not difficult for one person to put together. Adjustable depth makes it flexiable for many rack configurations. Cons: None. Really, there is nothing wrong with this rack. Overall Review: Couple things here. First, the images show the rack with wheels. It does not come with wheels but can be purchased seperately. It has a solid plate foot for front and rear. Second, because it is so sturdy, be sure you plan the depth you need in advance. I had to pull it apart to increase the depth as I did not plan properly. Last, there are a lot of accessories you can purchase for this; shelves, cable management, ect. Be sure to check out the suppliers website and check thier product page for the accessories that work with this rack. I purchased a shelf I had to send back because I did not verify it was the right one for this rack.
You will be happy with this purchase

Pros: This is the first rack I’ve bought. It’s adjustable as far as the depth goes. Comes with a bunch of screws, but could always use more.
Works for me where I just wanted a way to be more organized. They are standard square holes, and have little parts that snap in so you can then put screws (also included) through. Cons: Missing the pieces if I wanted to bolt it to the floor. However, contacting StarTech’s customer support, they shipped me the missing pieces for no charge.
Didn’t like the way the solid panels sat on the bottom of the rack. Only one side officially screw-ed in, so with a little force I can move the other piece. -1 rating, but not a deal breaker for me though. Overall Review: If you want wheels, you’ll have to order StarTech part 4POSTCASTER (Current Newegg item: N82E16816129028).

Pros: Standard size rack, accepts rails from our HP servers that we had in APC Server cabinet. Solid enough to put several servers in. With no reviews we were a bit apprehensive that our server rails wouldn’t fit but they fit like a charm. Cons: Had a bit of trouble getting all the bolts to thread. Holes marginally misaligned but we did get them all in with some struggle. Overall Review: Thought about taking an egg off because of the machining being slightly off, but really no: this product is quite fine.

Pros: Very well built. Ive been looking for a good under-desk rack for test servers and and such for a while. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $300+++ for a dozen pieces of bent sheetmetal. It’s perfect for SMALL rackmount servers (do NOT try to mount a full size server on a 2 post rack… ever), networking equipment, and probably AV equipment as well. And the price, well I feel like I stole it! Cons: Instructions? Who needs instructions? Well if you are one of those people that can’t assemble a sandwich without instructions, this is probably NOT for you. Overall Review: As other posters stated, wire management WOULD be nice, but it’s still the best value anywhere!

Pros: Good price, easy to assemble, comes with some extra screws, decent paint finish… Cons: While not the best instructions, it is still pretty self-explanatory to figure out… Just make sure that you put the long flat piece at the bottom where everything screws together. The picture that they show in the instructions shows no bottom piece and you’ll want to have that to add rigidity and more structure. Other then that, nice little rack! Overall Review: The price is good, would be really nice if they would also include a small 1U shelf with it, then you could store your small junk, like a cable (or DSL or whatevs) modem, small firewall / wifi router and maybe a cheapo UPS…. Construction is pretty decent and I think this will hold up as long as it doesn’t get loaded up with a crazy amount of hardware, i.e., old Pentium Pro 200MHz Duke Nukem 3D development boxes….

    Pros: – Flexible design
    – Sturdy and well-made
    – Beautifully packaged and padded Cons: – Assembly instructions are not great
    – One of the hardware bags was two washers short
    – The manual has a couple of CAD errors that could result in incorrect assembly
    – Casters use non-locking nuts that require a second wrench to tighten
    – One caster was far from level and no extra washers are provided for adjustment
    – Design flaws when assembled at the minimum 22″ depth (see below)
    – No torque values provided Overall Review: When assembled at the minimum depth of 22 inches, this rack has a couple of problems:
    – You only get to use two (rather than four) bolts to secure each piece of the extensible rails.
    – One of each caster’s four bolts clashes with the nuts on the inside of the extensible rails. Inserting the bolt is already very difficult, and tightening it is worse: since the casters’ nuts are not locking, the head of the bolt must be held still with one wrench while tightening the nut with another, and it’s nearly impossible to maneuver a wrench between the nuts on the inside of the rail to hold the caster bolt. When you do get it right, it’s extremely precarious and at an awkward angle that’s begging for the bolt to slip.
OCD tip: Using a torque wrench, tighten the M8 bolts holding the rack together to 147 in-lb.

Pros: I love this rack. It is perfect. Great quality and material. Cons: I am giving this a 1 star out of 5 for NEWEGG only. The rack itself is a 5/5. I would suggest buying this item somewhere else. It’s like they don’t care how the item ships or is packed. My box came without the top of the box at all. You tip the box? All the rack pieces fall right out onto the floor. There were also 3 separate small boxes not attached to the package at all, not even labeled. They could have put them all into a big box with labels and all but nope. The rest was in 3 separate boxes and they were all just laying on the floor where I picked the package up.

Pros: – Lots of rack space
    – Seems pretty solid
    – The black looks good Cons: You have to be careful when putting it together or you’ll end up with a parts going off at bad angles. Even in the picture, you can see that the top is attached at a bad angle. For me, the rack lean away about 5 degrees when I put it next to my wall. What I did is loosen the bolts, hold the parts in place at right angles, and then tighten. It took a lot of adjustments to get it perfect. But after the setup, it seems pretty solid, and I was able to get everything at 90 degrees right angles. Overall Review: My package was missing the 4 casters and the screws and washers to attach them to the rack. I was a bit worried because it would have cost me $40-50 to buy the casters. But the support from the manufacturer was relatively painless and I got my parts a week and a half later. I removed one egg for the extra hassle, but I would have probably given a 5 if I had gotten everything in the first place.
