Pros: Nice tight fit into the Rosewill case. Cons: As with the hdd caddys on the cast itself, this cage also suffers with the same issues, the caddys are cheap plastic with removable plastic mounted inserts to hold the drives in place and atleast half of them pop out when trying to secure the drive in place. The caddy does have a hole in the middle through which you can secure the drive using a screw, which is what I am doing and not bothering to use the supplied plastic ones. Overall Review: For the price, an excellent companion to the case, despite the cheap plastic caddy’s – which is expected at this price point anyway

Pros: Inexpensive hard drive bay Cons: The little pins that hold harddrive are kinda annoying Overall Review: Bought this for a DIY case build. Would have taken a lot of time to build something similar to this

Pros: Very easy fit 4 HDDs into the cage no screws required. Fan is extremely quiet but not much of airflow through whole cage. Very compact and easy to install, even i have installed one of these in my regular PC case, by removing one wall of original HDD bar. Now i got 4 of them ventilated!! Cons: Not designed for regular ATX computer cases Overall Review: Very reasonable price

Pros: – Solid construction
– More drives!
– Satisfaction of getting the thing installed feels good Cons: – Difficult to install, but the chassis you’re likely to use this in probably uses the same style cage, so you just kind of have to get used to it.
– Crummy drive grommets. It’s not a hot swap cage, so it’s not really a big deal. Overall Review: I don’t suggest purchasing this item if you are accustomed to hot swap drives or don’t have a chassis that already uses this style.
Oh- and usually good products are hard to get, so don’t blame the product for being out of stock. *eyeroll*

Pros: A 4 bay drive enclosure for $15 is a deal although a 5 bay at this price range would be better. The drive trays are flimsy but they hold on to the drive and click solidly into the enclosure. Cons: The fans are cheap, noisy and should be replaced. 1 of the 3 fans was noisier than the other two and failed the first week. As a result 4 of my NAS drives saw 39C degrees for a day. I’ll be replacing these fans with cougars for quiet reliability.
Perhaps Rosewill should sell these enclosures for $12-$13 w/o the fans. That way the customer can buy the fans that meet their requirements. Overall Review: The enclosures we’re attached to a 7yr old Antec PC case. Used an angle grinder to cut the case and a MIG welder to attach the enclosures to it. Doesn’t look at all pretty, but I don’t need it to be.
Now I have 16 drive bays for a zfs nas that lets me spend more cash on ECC memory.

Pros: It’s a hard drive cage alright… Cons: I found the tray’s to be a bit of a pain to mount onto the drive. I really had to push the pins in pretty hard to get them to be flush to the rails. You can still get them out after, but you may need to gently pry them with a phillips head to do so. Overall Review: If you have an RSV-L4000 or an RSV-R4000 and you have 2 cages already, this is no good to you unless you’re replacing a cage for some reason.
I purchased this for my RSV-L4000. I assumed because it’s labelled an add-on, that it would be slightly smaller in size to the existing cages in the server, and would fit in the open “slot” under the power button/reset/ LED bar. Nope. This is the same size as the other 2 cages in the server and will not fit at all.
I may go for the Rosewill RSV-SATA-Cage-34 instead or some other generic 4×3 enclosure that I can fit in there, allowing me to have 12 drives in the case.

Pros: An earlier reviewer said they used this cage in an Antec Nine Hundred case. So this influenced my decision. Turning this case into a DAS unit! This unit came with drive trays not the separate rails. This works a lot better and easier. The top and bottom back edges are folded over and the unit will not fit in the case. Unfolded these flaps and cut them off and now it fits great. Seems to be ok fan with this cage but time will tell. This slightly modded cage will now fit and work in a Cooler Master Haf X cage also! Opens up more storage options. Went with 4 drive not the 5 drive cages out there due to heat issues with 5 drives crammed together. Cons: Should have bought second cage at this time. Overall Review: Would recommend this to someone trying to get more storage into their cases.
