  1. Christoph G.

Pros: Powerful Quadro FX3800 chip set allows us to render surfaces and perform grading on detailed sites using AutoCAD Civil 3D. For a specific project, the older FX1500 simply did not have the capacity. Cons: The card has 2 DisplayPorts but only 1 DVI. Given that anyone using this card will have dual displays and the Display Port monitors are rare and expensive, this setup is rather strange. The DisplayPort to DVI adapter is finicky, sometimes making the screen go fuzzy and requiring a reboot. At one point the DisplayPort stopped working and required a reinstallation of the drivers. Overall Review: Good chipset. Confirm that you are ok with the ports.

  2. Lance F.

Pros: Good card for rendering, keeps up fairly well. Cons: Display port to DVI adapter is finicky. Second monitor needs refreshing at times. Display becomes fuzzy with a reddish haze. I had to send the original card back to PNY to be replaced because the display port went out. The new card came in but seems to have other complications with displaying graphics on both screens. Overall Review: Would probably spend less money on an equivalent gaming card that would give me less problems. The “quality” of getting a Quattro just isn’t there.

  3. David R.

Pros: Really delivers on what it’s supposed to: can see an improvement on screen refresh when running my 3D apps. Seems like the best price/performance for 3D applications that don’t require the serious RAM of the 4800/5800 series. When it comes to GeForce vs Quadro, I find I have to keep with Quadro with my 3D work (as it supports OpenGL standards which the GeForce series does not). I’m using a dual DVI display and have not run into any issues with the included display port to DVI adapter (but my main 24″ display is run through the DVI port, and I have a second 19″ display going from the adapter). Cons: Compared to my older FX 3500, this thing generates some serious heat! I’m a little concerned about how much the heat might start wearing on my other computer parts.

  4. ROBERTO C.

Pros: CAD lines look fantastic, very fast Cons: A bit noisy bc of fan, but not a big deal Overall Review: Wish it had a HDMI port

  5. Kimberly A.

Pros: I have this card installed in a system set up for video editing in Avid Media Composer and the card does an excellent job. Cons: None that I have found Overall Review: Excellent card for 3D apps… Why anyone would buy this for a gaming rig is beyond me… If you are editing video, working with effects, CAD programs, etc., then this is the card for you… It’s pricey, but so is everything associated with the above mentioned professional apps… As the saying goes… “it is what it is”…

  6. Nic S.

Pros: To get this working with the Acer 120 hz monitor required installing the Beta Nvidia drivers. Once that was accomplished this has worked flawlessly in Linux. Cons: Rather expensive

  7. MR N.

Pros: I’ve owned and used it for just days under a year. It runs well under XP. Cons: Has not functioned well under Windows 7 32-bit. It’s drivers crash when performing any task above simple. I’m a CS5/Sketchup/Microstation heavy user at a business, and have fought the card ever since upgrading to Windows 7. Overall Review: I purchased the card with high hopes and moderate expectations. I’m still working with level 1 nVidia tech support that knows nothing more than what the manual has laid out for them. I’m struggling to believe I spent the $800 on a video card and can’t get decent support.

  8. Desjardins M.

Pros: It’s a workstation card, sold to my customer.
Can’t tell if it’s hyper fast with any software havn’t tested it. Cons: The only thing I can say about this, it’s noisy (single slot fan) and the packaging is a joke.
I pulled the box out of the shipment box, I felt like it was half a pizza in a full box, meaning it could move around like crazy.
At least ups havn’t played football (for once) with my package.
When I look at XFX packaging that makes you want to throw away the card and sleep with the box, this looks pathetic.
I’m impressed this thing works … Overall Review: A good card ? Probably.
Overpriced ? May be yes, may be not.
Packaging is good ? No way.
