Pros: Good add-on card for a workstation. Added to a number of Optiplex 780 workstations to enable dual-monitor support for users. All installed without any issue, and have been in use for a few months without any problems at all.
Includes a DVI splitter, and low-profile slot bracket. Cons: None.

  2. Dominic C.

    Pros: Low profile adapter
    2 DVI dongle is sturdy
Passive cooling so it is silent
I got this card for a computer at work that I use to run Bloomberg Professional Analytics on. I cannot speak to the raw power of the card, but Bloomberg has run smoothly and without a hitch. Drivers were easy to install and worked from the onset Cons: None that I can think of. Overall Review: All good

Pros: Excellent workstation card with good dual monitor support. If you’re looking for a fanless video card for a dual monitor workstation and only do light 2d or general application type tasks, this card is great. Cons: none Overall Review: I originally bought the NVS 295 and then saw the NVS 300 a couple days later for less money on Newegg, so I returned the 295 and got this one. More memory, a little faster, and uses less power.

Pros: I purchased 10 of these cards because they have the small x1 PCIe connection. The video works and they look great, but for whatever reason PNY decided to add audio to the VIDEO card. Since my MOBO has audio already it causes conflicts and I don’t get any audio at all. If I disable the PNY audio in the bios it then sends all the audio to the PC speaker and can’t be turned off.
I called tech support and they are USELESS!! Before I even finished my sentence they found out it was an HP desktop and immediately pass the buck by saying call HP. So I call HP and we run test and everything works fine without the card. Put the card back and audio is forced through the PC speaker. I call PNY back and same run around. 2 minutes into the call without ANY troubleshooting or suggestions my answer was “I guess the card is not compatible”. Luckily several other companies offer the same card. Cons: The card works great with video, but I can’t keep them due to audio problems that PNY refuses to offer ANY support on. Overall Review: Although I prefer dealing with support in this country sometimes I do prefer getting help from other countries because at least they are willing to try and help you fix an issue. Over paid, lazy Americans unwilling to help is why other countries now support more than 80% of all Tech related companies. Wake up America!

Pros: Small. Shiny package. Cons: Doesn’t work. I couldn’t get any OS to boot up with this thing installed. Managed to make it all the way to the GRUB menu a few times, but eventually this thing crapped out completely. Overall Review: I purchased this because they mentioned support for Linux in the specs, but after searching around, I don’t believe it. It’s certainly not worth the time it would take to get this working, when there are plenty of other options out there.

  6. Daniel K.

Pros: This is a fanless card that supports two DVI monitors with VDPAU level C support. I have two of these, one on a myth frontend end using one monitor connection and another on a workstation using two monitor connections. No problems on either one. Cons: I did have to install the drivers from nVidia’s website. The drivers that shipped with Ubuntu were too old to support this card.

Pros: Image quality is incredibly sharp. Colors are saturated, and background is bright. Letters are bold, clean, crisp, and easy on the eyes. Works very well with no loss of image quality with multiple monitors. Cons: None. Overall Review: This card is my top choice for spending long periods in front of a workstation for doing 2D office applications, software development, and surfing the web.

  8. William F.

Pros: I’m using 2 of these inside of a workstation and couldn’t be happier. They are powering 4 monitors at 1440×900 each. Realtemp says they don’t peak more than 60C, which is pretty cool considering they are passively cooled (heat sink, no fan).
They only take up 1 slot each so room in your case should not be an issue.
512MB at 64-bit of memory is plenty for 2D applications and 2 monitors. Cons: The video output on the card is some odd display type that resembles a DVI port calld DMS-59 (59 pins). Because of this you MUST use the included pigtail adapter that converts DMS-59 to dual VGA. Kinda lame, but oh well. Overall Review: If your monitor only has HDMI or DVI-D inputs, look elsewhere for a video card. You can convert VGA to DVI-D.
