Overall Review: Got this about a year ago for my Dads computer. It’s matched up with a Samsung 151t with digital input. PERFECT!

Overall Review: I had wanted dual display for my main computer and had no info on the capability with my Nforce board. Skirting the issue of whether or not the on-board video would work simultaneously with another video card, I installed the G550 with dual head capability in the AGP slot of the Nforce. No problem with functionality and Matrox’s drivers are just as good as nView for configuring dual monitors. Here’s the clincher: text and graphics are noticebly SHARPER with the Matrox card than with the onboard Geforce2 graphics! I no longer play computer games on my main rig so 3D performance is a non-issue for me. I use two 19″ Sceptre monitors (Great!) and the results are fantastic: both in 1280x1024x32bit with the 32megs on this video card!
Gotta love newegg for the fast fulfillment, great prices and wide selection.

Overall Review: I bought this card to replace the Radeon VE 7000 that’s in my aging PIII 550 on BH6 mobo. The *2D performance* difference was night and day especially on my Lacie EBIV 19″. the ATI VE at 1600 x 1200 looks horrible even on a good monitor like Lacie. I do a lot of Photoshop and all I can say is that this card paired with a good monitor is 2D graphics nirvana.
