  1. Jim C.

Pros: These video cards connected at 3840 x 2160 at 60hz and 32-bit color. (I bought 5 of these cards and installed them on 5 PCs – all running Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition).
This was a surprise as the specs do not mention this capability, and I thought I would only get 30hz at 3840.
I did “Custom” driver installs with “driver only + audio only” checked.
These cards connected to a Samsung 6290, HDMI port 1, set to UHD, 60hz. Cons: none Overall Review: What a bargain! I have several high-end Nvidia cards (GTX 950, NVS-510), albeit older models, that will only connect at 30hz to the same port.
At 32bit color I assume I am getting chroma 4:4:4. The Sammy 6290 is capable of 8-bit chroma 4:4:4 on HDMI-1 set to UHD.
I wonder what Gigabyte has to say about this “unadvertised special,” and if this is something that only Gigabyte implemented, or if all Nvidia GT710 cards are capable of this?

Pros: record games at 60 frames a second. low profile Cons: not top of line but good Overall Review: not VR but still good

Pros: None, doesn’t work Cons: – No english manual available on vendor web site (chinese only)
    – Not compatible with classic BIOS
Do not buy this card, or any other gtx 6xx or higher card that lacks hybrid bios, if your computer’s BIOS does not support UEFI.
My father-in-law’s Gateway DX4870, bought in 2013 or so, does not support UEFI and therefore will not play with this card.
    (See e.g. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1982664/upgrade-bios-uefi.html )
newegg ought to add a checkbox for “classic BIOS compatible” on their card selector…

Pros: Works well with Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS using NVIDIA drivers, using the native Ubuntu drivers, it works, just featureless, it seemed it was not getting the boost under heavy graphic load. I bought it mostly to process videos faster using KDEnlive and so I would not use the CPu ram when processing large images. Using on a HP800 with 24 GB ram. Now, the swap file never gets used.
Important note: This takes an X16 slot, using in a PCIe 1.0 x16 slot, but, only uses 8 lanes so it is a 2.0 8x card. If you buy this thinking it will fit a 8x slot, it will not.
When I review the second card I bought, I will post the before times making a large video, then after using 1 or 2 cards. Overall Review: I would purchase this again, I bought two.

  5. RTDecko

Pros: Worked great in my old HP desktop that would not take a full-size graphics card due to half slot size. The upgrade added a performance boost to the older machine. Cons: Older vintage board installed due to limited slot size. Overall Review: Newegg is my first choice in pc components. Never have to worry about getting counterfeit parts from bogus suppliers. Great job, Newegg.

  6. Wayne W.

Pros: Good cost , had vga port that I needed. Cons: None found at this time Overall Review: Graphics card fit on motherboard was good. Price was good. It has a cooling fan.

  7. Anonymous

Pros: Easy installation Cons: Driver was not easy to install. System did not delete the old driver even though it was the same manufacturer. Had to do a lot of manual intervention to get the new board working. Overall Review: Works well if you can deal with the driver issue.

  8. MIKE R.

Pros: Plug and play with Windows 11. No issues as of right now. For a basic system. Customer is not going to be gaming, just the basic surfing ect. Seems to work good for that. Cons: No issues noted. But if anything does arise, I will edit my review. Overall Review: Worth buying to get your PC up and running. Its worth the money even if it just lasts a couple years.
