Pros: Roughly half the price of the APC RBC24 kit.
Fit no problem into the battery backup like the APC original. Cons: The company no longer seems to be making them as they dropped them from their website. Overall Review: I wish they still made them. I called in and the two people I talked to had no idea what I was talking about.

Pros: Work great at first, exact replacement, cheap Cons: They only last 12 -20 months max, often less, and sometimes fail catastrophically (burning smell on a monday morning, warped cases, UPS destroyed, dangerously hot). Not worth warranty replacement, Overall Review: Great cheap, fast replacement, no so much if you actually value your time to order and replace them. We’ll be sticking with the name-brand ones which reliably last no less than 3 years, and often as high as 6 years. You still get what you pay for, this has been a learning lesson we took to heart. batteries are not all the same. Newegg used to not carry all APC brand replacement batteries. I’m glad they seem to carry the whole line now.

Pros: None. Not usable. Cons: This unit does not fit into my SUA1500RM2U. It slides in part way but not enough to screw the plate on.
The APC original fits fine.

Pros: Poped it into my SUA1500RM2U by flipping the entire APC unit upside down and then sliding in the battery tray up side down also. This was not a problem since batteries are glued into tray. Then flipped unit back right side up for seamless operation. In a few hours batteries were fully charged and working great. Cons: Due to misaligned guides I had to flip the APC unit upside down to keep the battery tray from catching on the lip of the back panel. Without doing this, the tray would have stuck out about 3/8″ preventing me from bolting in the battery tray and replacing the front panel. Overall Review: Once completed, APC Unit and Battery tray were both right side up to be placed back in operation.

Pros: Electronically, it works fine to replace OEM battery, and it costs a lot less. Cons: As others have commented, it doesn’t want to go in the last ~1/4 of an inch, making the screws nearly impossible to put in. Overall Review: First one of these I put in, I struggled with it and finally managed to force a couple of screws in. Wasn’t sure why it wasn’t going in. Then I saw the reviews here. I just put a second one in, and didn’t bother trying to put the screws in (UPS is in the bottom of a rack, it’s not like the batteries will fall out).
If you compare bottom of the metal casing between this and the genuine APC part, they are different. I’m thinking that the “standoffs” (for lack of a better term) which are stamped into the metal are supposed to mate with something in the UPS to correctly position the batteries. Since they are not the same, the battery can’t line up right. Bummer, but I still wouldn’t pay the extra money for the APC.
Both of these I put in went into the APC SUA1500RM2U. YMMV on other models that this fits. I have also put the genuine APC replacement part into this model, and it fit perfectly.
