Pros: Affordable
Fits in Norco RPC-2008 case very well
Support picks up the phone immediately Cons: 2 out of 5 have died within 45 days of each other.
First one was RMAed through newegg no problem. Second one was 45 days old, thus 15 days out of Neweggs 30day period.
RMA process is a hassle. Have to fill out and [fax] an RMA form with proof of purchase. OK not a huge deal, BUT, I suppose the unit does not allow the warranty to transfer from person to person if resold.
OK..so moving on.
“Support picks up the phone immediately” from above is not really a pro in my case.
Sent them the power supply one month ago, called 2 weeks after the shipment arrived and was told it is in the warehouse ready to be shipped. I was hoping it would be shipped already. After two more weeks I call again and was told the PSU was still in the warehouse ready to be shipped. I was also told a supervisor needed to approve the RMA. Really, why not get approval two weeks before? After I did the RMA fax form and proof of purchase song and dance? A supervisor? These are server power supplies. Servers are used for server-like purposes…not sitting and waiting a PSU. My development time for this box has changed from a few days to a few months. gross. Overall Review: The RMA process is a hassle. But you call and immediately get an answer. Unfortunately this is not relevant when nothing is followed through.
I would remove 3 eggs but the price is hard to beat.

Pros: Supports dual PCI 8 pin power, standard atx cables otherwise, and cheaper than the 700w model. Cons: None really, one makes a clicking noise a little louder than the other 4 I got.

Pros: – Compact 800W power supply, should be ideal for use in rack mount case from SAME MANUFACTURER Cons: – DOES NOT INCLUDE MOUNTING HARDWARE OF ANY KIND Overall Review: – Can not recommend to others until manufacturer ships necessary mounting hardware to me, and then includes with product in future. I have sent message to manufacturer for support; but, have not yet received any reply.

Pros: had it working for 10 days Cons: fan is loud and power supply turns off

Pros: – Cheap
– Fits server
– Nice connector setup for a server
– not just molex connectors like some 2u server psu Cons: no led indicator to show power is on. This would be a nice feature as my server is mounted vertically Overall Review: Great for the price based on the needs. This is my second purchase. My first lasted 5 years with 24/7 up time. running 8 3tb hard drives, and a pcie raid card. No issues. What you should consider is your needs. If like me you just want a cheap 2U psu and don’t care about redundant power and don’t want to spend the money for 80 plus gold then this is a great buy, however, if you are looking for an enterprise level setup for 24/7 up time then you’ve got some more factors to weigh. Will buy again if needed and do recommend based on my use case.

Pros: Good mix of connectors and lengths. Cons: unbelievably loud. I dont know if I have a dud, if its cheap fans or what but at idle (the quietest it runs), its louder than ALL the other fans in the system running full blast . When it spins up, its like a jet engine. You couldnt have a conversation next to it, louder than a hair dryer. I get server PSUs dont have noise as a prority but this is way over the top. Overall Review: if noise is even remotely a consideration, steer clear of this thing.

Pros: Well built, powerful.
Dual fan setup. Cons: At that price 226$ CAD i would have expected gold instead of bronze, and modular.
We have ATX PSU that cost way less and have all that. Overall Review: Overall good powersupply.

Pros: -Shorter footprint allows extra room for unused cabling.
-Has 8+4 CPU power connector. Overall Review: I have been using these PSUs now for the last few years. I have constructed nearly 30 2U machines using these and so far not a single one has failed. I have seen other reviews and can’t say I would agree with any of them except for the rare failure one might encounter. Buy with confidence. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to include some sort of front mounting bracket for the standard configs in rack mountable cases.
