Pros: If you want mini-ITX (ish) and DDR5 and PCIe5 with IPMI for a 1U, this is basically your only option.
ASRock support is fairly responsive. Cons: – I have not yet gotten this motherboard to work. No successful POSTs, although the IPMI interface does work. The board never makes it to the BIOS, gets stuck at “Installing SB Runtime”.
– The capacitors or whatever to the left of the CPU (opposite the RAM), are in the way of most CPU coolers. The only cooler I found that fits in a 1U is from a company called “HIGH POWER” for “Low Profile mITX LGA1700”. I had to find this on other sites.
– Expensive Overall Review: I recommend finding a bigger case that takes regular ITX and a different motherboard. You get a lot more options if you don’t need mini-ITX / deep mini-ITX.
By the time I had all the parts for the build, this motherboard was outside of the return window. Maybe I’ll get it to work, I dunno. But not very happy with it.
