  1. Trevin C.

    Pros: – IPMI
    – Supports ECC Cons: – Doesn’t have 10gig
    – IO Shield has cut outs for both boards so be careful not to poke the extra Ethernet ports out if you don’t have them. Overall Review: I opted to get the regular B650D4U as I didn’t want 10gig RJ45 and wanted to get my own NIC for 10gig SFP+ so I opted for the two m.2 ports. I haven’t tried to those out yet but everything else is working flawlessly.
I’ve seen some people have problems with memory or other weird problems. I currently haven’t had a problem with the board, although I’ve only been using it for about a week. I was nervous because of the poor reviews but I’d say I am pretty happy with my purchase.

  2. rotko.net

Pros: cost efficient server that performs.
x86 is almost at its scaling limit with 5nm process
    unmatched 5ghz per core performance
    optimal for running cryptocurrency validators
great ipmi Cons: only issue is CPU IO limit in 26x pcie5.0 leading to single x16 slot
and memory clockspeed limited to 3600mhz if all 4 slots in use. with 2 slots no limits. Overall Review: highly recommended

  3. Mark T.

Pros: – Lots of PCIe lanes
    – True x16 PCIe slot that can bifurcate to x4x4x4x4
    – True x4 Slot
    – And a x1 Slot
    – Two M.2 slots that do not interfere with any other component Cons: – Only two things but that is really on me… I really only need the USB-C item.
    – No internal USB-C 5.2 front panel connector
    – No internal sound processor/connector for front panel connectors
    – No printed User Manual, what a shame Overall Review: – This is a fantastic server motherboard, it has IPMI and only requires three power connections.

  4. John H.

    Pros: Neweggs return policy
    BMC
Support, unless they decided to release this product. Cons: Half baked. Not ready for production.
You have to through hoops to get even SATA raid working.
NVMe “we are working on it” seriously Overall Review: If you dont need built in RAID then it should work fine.

  5. Andrew P.

    Pros: -reasonable cost
    -two m.2 slots
    -form factor
-IPMI Overall Review: this is the 3rd AsRock Rack mobo I have owned and its great as always. the IPMI is fantastic and worked great. I was able to upgrade the bios and firmware perfectly to support the new AMD Epyc line. Was able to do it before the mobo even recognized the new CPU which of course is fantastic.
IOMMU works great s well with the low profile RTX 4060 worked perfectly with pass through to a Virtual machine no issues.
I also moved over to trying a 10gig card and that worked flawlessly as well of course. Plus DDR5 RAM speeds is crazy. This is an insane board for around $300 with all the features. Its been chugging along great as a virtual host for a month and should continue to do so. Completely recommend if trying to put together a robust server.

  6. ALEXANDER J.

Pros: Good packaging. Has dual NVMe slots in a server board, which is neat. Relatively feature-rich (PCIe bifurcation support, IPMI/OOB management, TDP adjustment options, etc). Lowest cost purpose-built server board relative to other brands. Cons: Stopped functioning shortly after installing operating system. Lack of official publications from ASRock. Overall Review: Purchased board for hypervisor running a 7600X, 64GB RAM and a dual 2.5Gbe accessory card. Installed into board, started without a hitch. I install Proxmox onto the primary NVMe, install updates, and restart the computer. Boot up to no devices being detected, a strange smell, and clicking coming from the VRM portion of the board. I checked for shorts, reinstalled with different standoffs and screws, and received a post code that cannot be looked up online as there are no definitive source of POST codes published by ASRock for an enterprise board in addition to a rhythmic clicking noise coming from the board… Reached out to ASRock Rack for support/RMA/RTV options, they told me to take it up with Newegg. Currently awaiting refund.

  7. Johnny O.

Pros: I bought this in January and it is no good I took it to a computer shop and they said this board is defective Overall Review: No good

  8. Bret B.

Pros: – AM5 socket that accommodates Ryzen or Epyc CPU
    – Supports PCIe 5 (with supporting CPU)
    – Includes 2 M.2 slots
    – Excellent IPMI function (this is really why you buy a server MoBo)
    – Supports ECC memory Cons: Only found one, and not even sure it’s a MoBo problem… ESXi after booting up, there’s no USB keyboard function (not even over remote IPMI console. This was concerning with my first board so I exchanged it and second board does the exact same thing! Just a heads up (so you know). Overall Review: I bought this for $299, then NewEgg ran it on sale the next week for $279. They gave me a $20 gift card for the difference when I brought this to their attention. Well worth the money if you’re looking for a solid and stable server Mother Board that is fast and reliable. I’ve owned this board for about 6 months or more now and I would definitely buy it again…and again!
