Pros: This is a good compact UPS which we selected because it has a menu and buttons to turn off the on-battery audio alarm, without having to install nasty software (like APC). We use it for protecting Sonos audio equipment, in a small meditation room that needs to be very silent, even during thunder storms and other situations where the lights go on and off. Cons: The UPS seems perfectly quiet when on line, but makes a buzz when on battery. This is not perfect but acceptable. At least there is not additional noise from a fan (large UPSes have a fan to cool the battery when using battery power).

Pros: Great UPS. Huge advantage is having many outlets for the battery backup. Has been powering a router, modem, and POE switch with no problems. Survived 2 power outages and worked excellently! Cons: Nothing

Pros: Easy to setup. Recognized automatically by Mac iOS power management for full configuration and automatic computer shutdown functions without any software installation. Cons: None really. It does what it it supposed to do. Overall Review: Bulky and heavy, but it is a battery after all and I guess it has to be that way for the power it provides.

Pros: – easy to install
– works with windows 10 on eco mode. I have my sound bar, xbox one, and a battery charger plugged into eco (as the side without battery backup is the only plugs that make a difference with eco mode) and my gaming rig and two monitors are plugged into the battery backup side.
– you can turn the sounds off, which i don’t need any auditory aids to tell me the lights went out…. Cons: -a little bulky, but thats to be expected since it does have a battery inside Overall Review: This is a great priced UPS and has the bells and whistles you need

Pros: Most of them work most of the time. I bought three identical UPS units, based on Tripp Lite’s reputation. Cons: Two units apparently work just fine – just not the one in my office which occasionally ‘blinks out’ for no reason. It has not damaged any attached hardware, but the credit belongs to the attached hardware that I am trying to protect. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s pretty annoying. Overall Review: In fairness to Tripp-Lite (and NewEgg), I did not contact them for a refund. I don’t need another thing to do. I will buy a replacement at some point, but obviously not this particular model.

Pros: I like the LCD screen where you can cycle through the various statistics.
Low cost for basic surge and UPS protection.
Battery is less than 20 bucks once you figure out how to obtain and replace it. Cons: This UPS gets a sub-3-star rating because they don’t intend you to replace the battery. I didn’t think to check that when I bought it. Their website doesn’t even say what kind of battery it takes. (It’s SHR7-12 but I’d pry yours open to make sure if you want to replace it.) You have to take three screws out and split the thing in half to get to a battery that is just laying in there and could have been easily replaceable if they just had a little external door/slider for it. You’re supposed to remove lead-acid batteries before disposing of electronics anyway, so why make it difficult on your customer?
Also it uses a proprietary cable to interface with a computer with a phone plug on one end and regular USB type A on the other. Just why? Fortunately newer versions seem to have corrected this particular issue.
And it’s ugly. Overall Review: I would look elsewhere. This product is barely cheaper than alternatives that both look much nicer and which are made so you can replace the battery easily when it goes bad. It works fine but the life-cycle cost of one where you can easily replace the battery instead of the whole unit is lower and much more convenient and environmentally friendly. If you do replace the battery anyway, the extra hassle makes it worth the few extra bucks on a unit where it’s easier.
