45 reviews for Tripp Lite 7-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip, 6 Feet Cord, 1080 Joules, Individually-Controlled Outlets (TLP76MSG)

  1. Timothy E.

Pros: I am currently using 4 of these for my Classic Arcade Games. Love that I can have my games plugged in and then switch them on or off by using the power strip’s switched outlets. Some of the Arcade Games have On/Off Switches located in difficult-to-reach locations. Cons: Would have liked a 10ft cord. But the 6ft is working, so no deal breaker.

  2. David R.

Pros: Each outlet has it’s own switch. Compact size. Cons: Outlets are too closely spaced to accommodate transformer bricks. Needs some outlets turned sideways to allow for power supplies that are oriented that way. Overall Review: I got this to replace a similar device that sat under my monitor. Back in the days of 14″ CRT monitors that was a good thing but these days it isn’t needed. The switches on the previous surge suppressor were too handy for little fingers. I can mount this power strip out of reach.

  3. Robert W.

Pros: Does what I want it to do. Saves energy, if used properly. Cons: Could have a better mounting system. Always on outlet seems counter productive.

  4. Justin R.

Pros: This is a great power strip/surge suppressor. I purchased it specifically because of the individual power buttons on each port. It works great. I use it in my laundry room for my saltwater mixing station. I have certain things that are always on and certain things that are turned on as needed. This works great for that purpose. I have another one that will be going under my new tank once it’s finished. Cons: None

  5. John P.

Pros: Well made and well constructed. Individual On/ OFF switches plus one always ON and one Master On/ OFF switch. Very good plug spacing which is a BIG DEAL since most devices today come with adapters and not plugs. Cons: None I am aware of
    None

  6. Tom

Overall Review: I’m closer to a 4.5 than 4, as my only real issue is that the always-on outlet remains engaged when the main surge protector power is off. I’m unclear whether the surge protection works on that outlet? Otherwise, works as expected.

  7. Bradley

Overall Review: Great product. I use it on my desk to control the power to different devices, some of which don’t have power switches. Highly recommended.

  8. Anonymous

Pros: The switches are sturdy and easy to use. They light up when they’re on, so you can see what has power at a glance. I like that you can toggle individual sockets and/or the entire strip to suit your needs. Cons: The manual isn’t clear about whether turning off the strip turns off *grounding* to the always-on outlet. Overall Review: When I needed more outlets than I had, I was looking for an energy efficient, surge protected power strip that would meet my needs and nothing more so I wouldn’t have to pay for extra features, like coaxial, that I wouldn’t use. This fit the bill exactly: I can turn off all my peripherals with the flick of a switch, and i’m not wasting any power on devices I’m not using.
