Pros: Easy to put together Cons: N/A Overall Review: My SuperMicro SC743 case fit perfectly into a 4U cabinet with this rail kit. A little tip: On the instructions where you need to slide out the inner rails, there is a little black sliding latch that you need to slide over to pull the rails apart. After that, then go ahead and start screwing the rails to your SuperMicro case.

Pros: Easy to install and very sterdy Cons: The front mount holes are threaded. Which wouldn’t be a problems except the nuts I have are for the larger threading and it didn’t come with nuts.

Pros: This rail set is GREAT for a 4U case if you want just a plain Jane set of rails that slide in and out easy. Expect nothing more from it than that you’re fine.Plenty of varied holes to mount it on just about anything. Cons: My box came with ZERO directions however fortunately it came with all the screws and I had another set of these rails installed on another server to line up on as an example. Overall Review: Suggestions: make sure directions are in there.Plan out your screw mounts as much as possible before you go mounting anything.

Pros: Not much to say, basic Rail kit for SuperMicro servers. I needed a rail kit for my 4U SuperMicro and this one fit fine. Easy to install, sturdy. Cons: Nothing. Overall Review: Would have been nice if this was included with my server.

Pros: Solid construction. Cons: Doesn’t come with instructions on how they intended the rails to be installed on the rack. Overall Review: This is my first rack-mount chassis with rails, so maybe this is normal:
The back end can be fastened with whatever your rack uses.
The front bracket is threaded for M5, and the kit comes with M5 screws. There is a hole that a screw can pass through (to screw in the front of the server), but it is too small to fit around my M6 cage nuts.
I’m considering boring out the threaded front so I can attach it with my M6 bolts, but then it will stick out a bit because of the heads… Maybe I’ll expand the hole so it can fit around the cage nut, put the bracket behind the square holes and screw the M5 nuts through the square holes into the bracket?
Who knows what supermicro intended, and it seems that you’ll have to modify the hardware to get it to work.

Pros: Included all of the screws I needed for the install. Fit right into the rack. Cons: For a $600+ chassis, they should really include this. Overall Review: Read the manual for your chassis, dummies. Instructions are in Chapter 6.

Pros: I have had great luck with these on a couple 2u super micro chassis, but when I tried to pair these up against some other maker’s boxes it didn’t work out to well. I have a drill, and a dremel, so grinding, cutting and drilling are not the problem, it seems some boxes 4u/2u what ever, are just a mm off other brands or so, and this is all that needs to be the difference. Cons: Nice set of rails, but probably only works with supermicro chassis.

little video or documentation at all for this. Overall Review: bought for our Rosewill RSV-L4000 – 4U Rackmount Server Case and it dosn’t fit in the rack. too wide. i made shure that there wasn’t any ears or any weirdness going on with the inner rails. they are flush with the server and the outer rails are installed correctly.
