-Ultra-clear mic Cons: Will update if I find one Overall Review: I decided to pickup an over-the-ear headset to alleviate discomfort from using my powerbeats3 earbuds as an alternative audio option when gaming with my 5.1 setup isnt practical or appropriate. (For example my girlfriend is asleep, working from home or whatever other scenario requires quiet gaming.)
I love my powerbeats3 ear buds but earbuds really cause me discomfort after an hour + of usage, hence my purchase of a reputable over the ear set. This SteelSeries Arctic 1 set is, so far, absolutely fantastic. It is lightweight, noise canceling, has great breathe-ability for your ears, and most importantly, the sound quality is excellent. I was a little concerned the audio quality would not match that of my previously mentioned powerbeats3 set but this set is neck and neck quality wise at a cheaper pricepoint. If anything it is slightly lacking in the lower frequencies in comparison, but this could just be because they are over ear, and not earbuds.
I decided to test them out playing Hellblade 2 : Senua’s Sacrifice – a game highly recommended to be played with a quality headset, and this headset adds another level of immersion to that particular play experience.
Overall – at this price point, I highly recommend this headset. The flexibility to quickly swap from my PC, to my PS4 Pro, to my phone by simply moving the dongle to the new device to pair with is also a very cool feature. Just make sure you dont lose the dongle or your wireless capabilities are toast!

Pros: I’ve used it sporadically in an office workspace. It does a decent job at blocking out sound outside the headset. The Audio quality is very good, so for a general use, it does the job right. Cons: The cans have more limited adjustment to other Arctis models I’ve used. The biggest problem is the microphone. After a couple years of sporadic use and removing the microphone when it wasn’t needed, the microphone slot failed, and the microphone no longer functions. I acquired another microphone to try using and it equally failed, showing the port had failed. Overall Review: Good for listening quality, watch that removable microphone.
