  1. Charles

Pros: – 12 hot swap bays.
    – Lots of room for activities. Cons: – Cheap feeling thin plastic parts. A little disappointing considering the price.
    – Doesn’t come with rails.
    – A little shorter than my old case. My CPU cooler won’t fit, but that’s not a huge con as I knew my cooler was very tall.
    – Can’t find replacement parts. Overall Review: Very first time plugging in a SATA cable to one of the drive bay modules, the plastic inside the connector broke off and got stuck inside the cable. Now, I’ve done a lot of tinkering with SATA connectors in many computers; I wasn’t being rough with it, just squeeze the tab and gently pull. Maybe after many many cycles it might fatigue, but not the very first time it was plugged in, especially considering the price. Very frustrating to be down to 11 drives until this can be fixed, and I’m probably going to have to repair it myself since the drive bay modules don’t seem to be sold separately.
I’ve reached out to Rosewill support and will update the review once the respond, but as-is it’s hard to recommend this case.

Pros: Lots of space Cons: None yet Overall Review: Good quality decent fans quiet enough so far may upgrade?
    All bays function hot swap

Pros: Cheap Cons: Cheap Overall Review: Everything seems to be focused on cost cutting. The screws are so cheap I completely stripped two of the four holding one of the ears/handles with a couple hand turns of the screwdriver on my pocket knife.

Pros: Sturdy, well made, quiet, all the pieces were there. Cons: Non yet. Overall Review: For those building TrueNAS Core/Scale setup, it is a very good case and almost silent.
I did change the 2 rear fan for Noctuas because the Molex connectors of the Rosewill fans were a pain to deal with and didn’t inspire confidence.

Pros: Great entry level rack mount. Cons: The fans that come with it have cheap really molex connectors. Be careful plugging them in. Overall Review: Rather it was cheaper without fans.

  6. Matthew W.

    Pros: – hot swappable drives
    – relativity quiet fans
    – standard power supply accepted
    – enough room for long graphics cards Cons: – The chassis isn’t as long as it could be as I’d like to install an AIO for the CPU (I know it’s a server, but still), but it’s definately not cramped in there.
    – The cross bar may not fit depending on the height/length of expansion cards.
My RX590 graphics card prevents the cross bar from fitting, but it’s not a big deal. Overall Review: I would recommend this chassis for anyone looking for a rack mounted chassis with 12 hot swappable drives.
I’ve been looking for a rack mounted chassis for a while now that has at least 12 hot swappable 3.5″ HDD bays and that doesn’t break the bank.
This chassis feels well built and I tested all 12 of the bays and they all worked.
Each of the 3 drive cages holds 4 drives and each cage requires 2 molex power cables and 4 SATA data cables.
So it’s not the conventional backplane that use mini-SAS cables, but you can use mini-SAS to 4 SATA data cables and it works well.
I’ll be using this for an Unraid server to run my Plex and Home Assistant servers.

  7. Vincent G.

Pros: Great 4u rack option for soho.
    12 hot swap drive bays
Descent cooling Cons: Expensive Overall Review: Overall happy.l as i needed a 4u hot seap chassis. I had to overcome the super steep price to be happy.

  8. Anonymous

Pros: – cheaper than other hotswap rack cases I’ve seen Cons: – molex on the hotswap modules. really. come on man.
    – the fans on the hotswap modules are 3pin, the two rear fans are molex because ???? Overall Review: – can only recommend if you’re fine with molex or are okay with spending more to also buy sata hotswap modules.
    – no really though, rosewill, come on. move on from molex.
