Pros: The name matrox. Makes you think of the perfect high end 2d cards. Cons: Does not support wide screen resolutions, nor are the drivers in any way mature enough to be considered useful. Overall Review: For a company which claims that they are somehow leading age old pioneers in the graphics card buisiness, this card is a joke. I bought it for my dad thinking it would make the perfect buisiness card for him. Well you plug the darn thing in and nothing appears on the screen. This happened on two different computers. I then took it home and tried it on my own lcd screen. Well it didn’t come up again, fiddled around with it some more, and eventually something came up. Called up tech support and they told me that my OS wasn’t supported. Even though this thing had problems even booting up to the darn bios screen. I will never buy a matrox card again.
Trust me, stick with an ATI or NVIDIA card for 2d graphics. Just get a lower end one. There is NO need to ever buy a matrox card, ever. This company is on the way out.
