Works great. Took it out on my hike the other day, wrapped it around my backpack shoulder strap and it stayed put. Be careful though, if you don’t get it wrapped all the way around and you are wearing a dry-fit shirt…. the velcro will snag it the shirt. 🤦♂️

Good concept. I found the clip into the holder on the backpack a little loose. I placed a round piece of stick on loop velcro on the existing cushion. Also the coiled lanyard I feel is to long and with the clip a little loose could see my $300 GPS hitting the ground. Put a small carabiener on the backpack loop of the existing lanyard and through the lanyard I have on the bottom of my Garmin GPSMAP 66S. Long enough to unclip and work the GPS but if it comes unclipped it won’t hit the ground.

UPDATE BELOW.
It worked fine in the beginning, it was just very annoying that the cable was fixed and could not be positioned on the other side.
After about 1-2mo of use, the quick release does not stay in place. I’ll constantly have my Garmin fall off randomly.
UPDATE:
After this review I placed a new order. The seller contacted me and I told them the issue. They refunded me the amount. Basically getting a few replacement.

I like and will continue to use this product. It does rotate and loosen the Garmin easily, though. I had my GPS fall in a lake while getting a boat on the trailer

Works well for the price. Velcro isn’t high quality but has lasted a year of use. Twist lock is a little tricky but works. Metal hasp on the bungee is trash, throw that away first

If you’re using your Garmin Handheld and carrying a pack or a waist pack this product is a must. It converts the spine mount into a quarter turn mount like the edge uses. Really if you have an edge bicycle mount this product would make your spine mount device able to use your edge mounts also. I would buy this product again, actually I have 2 already, one for my day pack and one for my 2 day pack. In the spring time I will get a 3rd for my larger pack. That you guys from coming up with this product.

I’ve replaced one of these three times now…
The plastic clip that holds the Garmin breaks too easily. The last thing I want to do is to get out in the middle of nowhere and lose my garment because the bracket I got to mount it on my backpack failed.
While I have the tether attached to it, for safety, I have a little to no patience for low quality products. This one breaks too easily, it becomes too brittle.

Used this mount this last weekend for 10mile hike it was impossible to put the Inreach back on the mount.
