Overall Review: This headset gets used every day. My prior headset lasted over 2 years. This one, lasted less than 11 months, despite the fact that I take good care of my headsets. I love the design and quality of sound. Will try to purchase another one.

Pros: So the headset is high quality, and I’m pretty impressed with the headphones and the headphones and mic are clear. The weird thing about them is they realized the value of the 1/8 in audio jack standard, and implemented it intelligently. The mic can be pulled off via a 1/8 in audio jack, so for those who use a standing mic or simply want to do without. also the wiring is well thought out. With the adjustment of the 1/8 in audio standard to include now both input and output on a single jack, they’ve implemented a cabling system that should work no matter what configuration you have. If you have a pair of 1/8 in audio jacks for input and output, it comes with an adapter for that. If you have both audio input and output on a single jack it can do that too. This has been a long overdue configuration for audio products. Though Kingston doesn’t have a really good proprietary speaker to their name at the time of this writing, it’s still clear for voice communication and gaming, and the audio is sort of good. Pros: I use my Cloud Alphas for gaming, streaming movies, and listening to music. They perform beautifully for each. Exactly what I was hoping for in a headset.
Directional sounds in games are clear. The mic provides a clear sound and masks background sounds – per friends and family I asked when using the headset for the first time. I like that the mic is removable, so it is not in my way when watching movies or just listening to my favorite playlists. And I can wear the headset for hours of game play without feeling the discomfort I experienced with my old headset.
Movie sounds from dialog to explosions are sharp. But, more important for me, is that the headset also shines when listening to music. I listen to a range of music from classical to blues to rock to metal, and the headset holds its own from highs to lows. Overall Review: I was nervous about buying a new headset – even though my old headset had died – because I couldn’t imagine that a single headset could satisfy all my uses for it. The Cloud Alphas proved me wrong. I would recommend them to anyone who asked me to recommend a headset.
