Pros: Price
Has both USB and RS-232 serial ports.
LCD display is very easy to read and understand.
Outlets in the back are laid out well.
Overall size and weight.
Works with the NUT ups monitoring software for linux. Cons: Overall size.
Noise Overall Review: Overall this seems to be a well built UPS. I’ve tested the USB and serial ports and both seemed to work with the NUT ups monitoring tool for linux. Size is both a pro and con. It would fit will under a desk, but it’s a little short for usage on a shelf in a datacomm rack. The LCD panel is very easy to read and understand. It does have a bit of an electrical hum when in use. This is not an issue for me as it sits in a rack in the basement, but might be something to consider for an under-desk application. My previous UPS was also an Eaton/Powerware and lasted nearly a decade(until a lightning strike).

Pros: Using multiple open source platforms to write code for my college courses. Easy to configure using command lines. Cons: Fan is quiet, however you need to trim the sensitivity level. Overall Review: Battery has a small sigunitue, making it easier to position.

Pros: Tons of capacity. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Plenty of plugs. Cons: Might be a bit pricey, but has the specifications to back up the price.

Pros: – Compatible with FreeNAS server
– Solid build
– Reasonable price Cons: – Newegg: the device photo is incorrect
– NIC interface would be helpful but I know the price point will be higher too Overall Review: Solid unit for home appliances

Pros: great stats Cons: Super loud. Fan runs full speed all the time. Will be trying to return, this is just far too loud. no fan control, no temperature controlled fan speed, seems like Eaton missed the mark here. Who wants this much noise sitting next to them? it’s terrible. Overall Review: –

Cons: – Has an input for an ethernet, but no output. Yes, you heard that right. It’s literally useless. How in g-d’s name did this product pass review and get made?!
– The fan on it is so loud and clicks, that this alone makes the thing so intolerable that I’m going to buy a different UPS.
– Biggest waste of money. Overall Review: I just want to restate how insanely stupid you have to be to have an input for an ethernet and no output. Why? How? This is literally the stupidest computer product I have ever seen in my life. I will never buy anything from Eaton again, because I don’t trust their engineering team if they’re this stupid. It’s unimaginable.

Cons: Initial unit was dead on arrival. The marketplace vendor was responsive, and indicated they would process a return on their end if I could not get help from Eaton support. Eaton replaced the defective unit quickly, though. Overall Review: I haven’t had the unit long enough to know how well it actually works. It has the features and design I expected it to have from reading the product description, though.

Pros: Built like a tank. I imagine I’ll be replacing batteries in this thing for a decade+.
Your purchase supports development for Network UPS tools (NUT)
Works in Linux with open source software (see above) Cons: Expensive. Overall Review: Expensive, but gets the job done. The fan is kind of loud when it’s operating, but it’s most certainly thermally controlled, since it’s not on all the time as some reviews have suggested.
