Pros: Rackmountable, 8x 15amp battery backup outlets that are broken into two groups of four with individual circut breakers for both groups.
The LCD panel is a VERY nice touch allowing you to scroll through your output wattage, input/output voltage and Hz, it also gives you a % of what your total power draw through the unit is out of the 1125w availible, tells you your battery charge % and an estimated runtime based on the current power draw, The LCD has a blackout timmer if not used (30sec aprox) usefull when you dont want that bright blue screen on. heavy duty construction and good doubble box packaging. Cons: Weights 60lbs
The side rack monts are confusing to use.
The front cover is made of plastic for some reason??? Overall Review: Shipping cost, although it was nice to see the delivery guy used a dolly to bring it up to the door and then offered to roll it to my computer lab if i wanted.
It requires a common 15amp 120v outlet, the unit is a tade more then 300w below the 80% constant wattage usage “electrical code” for a 15amp circut.
I highly recommend this unit, it well worth the money for any one who has massive power consumption needs.

Pros: Features, price, ease of operation. Cons: Included rack mount didn’t work for standard 19″ 7 foot rack. Had to spend 50.00 on shelf for UPS to sit on in rack. Overall Review: I had to return the first two because of physical damage, not sure if shipping company’s fault or warehouse, or who. The box was heavy duty and it was packed well. Our server is running SBS2008 and has IE 9. The included software for communicating with the UPS didn’t work on IE9 but worked fine on IE11. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 eggs was because it took three units before I felt comfortable installing it. I did find some very minor case/housing deformity when installing it.

Pros: I’ve got a few different cyberpower rack ups’s and have zero trouble with them of the past couple years. This one is no exception so far.
I didn’t need very much runtime and just needed a rack unit that was easy on the budget, getting a 1500/900 2U line-interactive/AVR at this low cost is hard to beat.. Cons: none.

  4. ADAM K.

Pros: Length: it’s shorter than others so it will mount fine in 2 post racks using included heavy-duty mounting brackets.
Price: excellent value for your dollar. Tons of features you would not expect for a device under $1000.
Quiet: does not make a horrible racket like other UPS in its class. Just a periodic chirp and light fan sound.
Powerful: 20A means you can put more load on it and it will charge faster. Cons: I like that it has a management card add-in port but it would be nice if they just included the network/snmp module right out of the box. I suppose this is how they keep the price down so low! If you want to remote manage this UPS it is possible, but you will need to buy the management card separately (roughly around $200). Overall Review: Responding to other reviews:
Yes, it has a NEMA 5-20P plug on it. This is standard for 20 Amp service in North America. You will need a NEMA 5-20R receptacle in order to plug this in. **DO NOT MODIFY THE PLUG OR USE SOME FANCY EXTENSION CORD HACK** And no, you can’t just go to the hardware store and swap out your existing 15A receptacle — you need higher gauge wire (12AWG instead of the usual 14!) and a 20 Amp breaker on your panel or you risk fire! If you’re in the league of needing a UPS with this much capacity you can afford to have it wired correctly. Call an electrician to hook you up properly: you won’t be sorry!

  5. Stephen D.

Pros: Specification wise it’s exactly what I needed. The LCD interface on the front panel is great and the unit itself is quiet. The UPS looks great on my rack. Cons: The USB port on the unit is not functioning. I’ve read others have had this problem but I didn’t think I’d be a victim too! The PowerPanel software I installed on my server cannot find the UPS with the USB port plugged in. I tried all the USB ports on my server, some USB2, some USB3. I verified these USB ports on my server work by plugging in other devices such as a flash drive. I want this to work so I just ordered an RS232 to USB cable and I’m hopeful that it will work. I’ve unplugged and replugged to no avail, it just doesn’t work. Overall Review: We’ll see if the RS232 to USB cable will work. If it doesn’t this 60lb unit is going back, after all, if it can’t shut down my server when the power goes out, it’s not doing half of what I bought it for.
Update: Purchased a serial to USB cable https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812296318 which did work after finding the right driver from Cables to Go. +1 egg to go to 4 eggs.

  6. CYLE C.

Pros: Better reliability than the APC models I have used. Cons: Without the USB functionality on 3 of 3 units I purchased The manufacturer should removed its advertised functionality. Especially since these types of issues are not discovered until a significant amount of works has been done installing them into racks. You combine that with the weight and shipping size of this type of product, and I believe the Manufacturer should do something for us folks that are having to buy adapters for workarounds. Overall Review: If they were not advertised with USB functionality. I would give this product 5 stars. But this is too significant of a problem to just drop 1 egg.

Pros: Provides battery backup when working. Cons: Have only experienced 4 small power interruptions since this unit was installed. The 4th interruption the UPS immediately powered off and will not turn back on or respond to any reset procedure. Overall Review: No I would not recommend this unit.

  8. Damon R.

Pros: Unable to experience any pros accept that CyberPower was great with customer service and diagnosed the problem quickly. I was able to return to newegg for full refund. Cons: Dead upon installation. Overall Review: I would recommend for the features if they were important to you.
