Pros: received the package the next day that I ordered, installed into our Dell PowerEdge R710 without any issue. Cons: couldnt find one at this moment.

Pros: Much cheaper than a known-working Crucial kit, had this worked I would have bought a second kit. Cons: My supermicro board will not post with it, giving a memory error/no memory error code. Black Diamond’s website claims this memory kit is compatible with supermicro motherboards. This is not the case. Overall Review: Returning this and going with the Crucial 16gb kit: N82E16820148770. Update: the crucial kit works splendidly.

Pros: Increased the RAM in our server for a fraction of the cost Dell would have charged. I wasn’t sure they would work as we’ve had issues using non-Dell components in the server, but they’re working great so far. Cons: None encountered so far. Overall Review: I would definitely recommend using this RAM in your server environment and would purchase again if we have a need. Cheers to Black Diamond!

Pros: None. Cons: Put into my computer, turned it on and got 5 beeps and a shutdown. Tried it in different banks and by itself. Didn’t work. Overall Review: I sometimes find that buying the least expensive item, is rarely a good idea.

Pros: Good features at the price point. As long as it’s still available, I hope to install more in the future. Cons: Server memory is pricy, but if you’re building a server, it’s what you want. Overall Review: Installed in an AsRock Rack EP2C602-4L/D16 with E5-2680 processors.

Pros: Cost effective (but only if they work long-term) Cons: Won’t allow Sleep mode, required multiple reboots just to get the PC started (each time!) and eventually one of the pair refused to post at all (showed as Empty in BIOS). This was about a month after purchase and I submitted an RMA for full refund. I had them in an Asrock x99 MB and a Xeon CPU. Overall Review: A clear case of getting what you paid for and after a few weeks of spotty performance one of the pair stopped working altogether.
