Pros: Very fast setup
Relatively intuitive UI Cons: Hard to find the power button (it is on the right side panel)
When it fails to copy some files, it does not give you the filenames. That makes it hard to know if there is a real problem and hard to address the issue.
RAID setup process went non-responsive and I was left waiting without percentage updates. (it was a large array and took a while) Overall Review: I’m happy with my purchase and am keeping it. I expect it to provide great service for years to come.

Pros: – 12 NVME slots to fill up for a serious highspeed NAS for your network
– Stick with NVME drives of same make/model/size and you’ll be happy
Update: Received it last week and FINALLY am glad I got it. The storage on this is FAST! Worth it completely. Of course, you will have to play the pick-you-poison RAID storage level of comfort. I went with RAID 5 using 12 4TB Crucial P3+ NVMe drives. Out of the TOTAL 48TB of REAL storage I ended up with RAID 5 total storage of 39.98 TB with a fault tolerance of being able to lose one drive while still being able to work. Good enough for me! I would also STRONGLY suggest you make sure you’re connecting to a 10GB Ethernet connection to truly enjoy the speed too. Cons: – Only CON is NEWEGG can’t tell the difference between ASUSTOR’s 6-bay (FS6706T) and 12-bay (FS6712X) boxes at their facility. Yeah, the messed up my order and then I had to play the return game just to get what I ordered. Can’t wait to get my order and see if I get the item I actually ordered.
Updates: No cons noted other than the aforementioned product confusion debacle from NEWEGG’s warehouse. I’m happy now so it is what it is. Overall Review: I LOVE ASUSTOR NAS products! However, Newegg has given me a bad taste in how they ship stuff and do not pay attention to what I ordered. I’ve been shopping from Newegg since 1999 and it seems they have gotten less responsive to customers the bigger they get. I’m not into scamming or jonesing for free stuff. I pay for something and I FULLY expect to get it. Not have to worry about returning something that NEWEGG jacked up because they DID NOT look at what I ordered. And the return section DOES NOT give you the option to tell them they sent you the wrong item too. That really bothered me because all I wanted was what I ordered and not have to explain to them their screw up.
So, to Caveat Emptor TL:DR: Double check your order because Newegg obviously aren’t and you too could end up with a SIXer (FS6706T) versus a TWELVEr (FS6712X). Then call them up to get it unscrewed and don’t bother using the online system because they don’t have it programmed right for this kind of return. And DO NOT order during Mercury Retrograde.
Update: No changes to my above comments. Received it and it works beautifully. Now NEWEGG, I only have one request from here on out, please don’t mess up on my orders!
