Pros: Easy setup. This card has all the power a CAD designer or CG artist could dream of, unless you have an unlimited budget. I load extremely complex renderings of 3D solid models and the display is nothing short of amazing on my T240 Samsung monitor. Rotating in 3D has not limits, just msooth and beautiful Cons: NONE

Pros: Great card and the perfect price. Just about to order another for our CAD team. Works great with 2008 Solidworks and has tested OK with 2009 so far. Cons: No thus far.

Pros: Easy install, no power cable needed. Cons: The card does a nice job in Solidworks 2009, so long as I’m not trying to minimize a window. Or worse, trying to drop a part into an assembly. Then the screen and images flicker wildly, sometimes leaving multiple panes visible. Overall Review: ATI tech support told me this card wasn’t certified for SW 2009 using Win 7 64 bit. Basically trying to slither out of it and somehow blame it on Solidworks. I run a similar system at work with an Nvidia FX1700 (also SW 2009 and Win 7 64). No problems. Looks like this card’s going back and I’m getting an Nvidia. It’s a shame – my other two home systems (HTPC and gamer) have ATI cards, they’re great. But cheaper. Go figure.
