Pros: I am pleased with the performance. I now have two of these on two separate motherboards from Supermicro. Cons: For some reason, there has been a high return rate on this CPU. I had to “buy” four of these to get two working ones. Newegg has been easy to work with on the replacements/refunds. Overall Review: Its good to know that there is lots of room for performance improvement if I need to upgrade my two servers. There needs to be a greater variety of motherboards that support the Xeon Scalable processors in my humble opinion.

Pros: – Based on many negative forum post with most having no experience with the processor I was apprehensive. However, based on the Intel ark information and my server requirements it fit my needs so I purchased discounting the naysayers.
– I’m glad I did as this CPU has been rock solid under an initial test setup and now a full production state VMware ESXi setup.
– I paired this with an X11SPM-TPF and they have been a happy marriage
– With CPU, MB, x8 WD Red Pro drives, x1 WD Purple, Samsung Pro M.2, x2 SATADom’s, x7 fans (Noctua 3,000rpm units). With all of this at very low use it is pulling about 100 watts, in medium about 150 watts.
– The CPU stays very cool even under a full load stress test. Note: I’m using a Node 804 case not a server rack so temps will naturally be lower in a larger case.
– New socket & heat-sink compo is very sturdy and secure once installed; there’s no question if it is seated & secured once installed. Cons: – If you haven’t installed the LGA-3647 heat-sink before the first time is a very nerve-wracking experience. It’s fine after you’ve done it once, but it is a much different experience than my previous builds. Overall Review: If you require a lower power use 24/7 home server setup you couldn’t ask for much more.

Pros: – Perfect for a low power home server, I replaced 3x i7’s with this, all of which consumed 85W each and have less threads combined than this Xeon
– Runs extremely cool and quiet with Noctua cooler, have not seen it over 40 degrees since installing it Cons: – Agree with other posts saying it’s a bit nerve wracking installing a cooler on LGA 3647, but it ended up going just fine.. Overall Review: Great CPU, would certainly recommend to others.

Pros: Shipped quickly and on time. Cons: This CPU arrived in a little plastic case sandwiched between two massive pieces of foam. It did not come in the retail box as pictured, and it clearly has thermal paste residue on it. It was advertised as new, and it is going into an SAP server in an enterprise network. I highly suspect this product is used… Overall Review: I will be reaching out to you Brute Networks to resolve. Fraud is not something I tolerate.

Pros: Cheaper than other vendors Cons: No confidence in using the product when I saw expensive CPUs being packed in such a non-professional way. Overall Review: I thought the CPU should be in a retail box like the photo the vendor posted online. I would not purchase such a product if I knew how it was packed and handled.
