Pros: I’m using this ps to power a custom built sff desktop. It’s nice and slim, with more than enough juice to power an overclocked i7-2600k. One great feature of the ps is the P4 cpu power plug. There is a single 4 pin connector plus the two combining 8 pin plug, so that’s three plugs total. All cables were long enough to reach to where they were needed. Cons: Wish there were threaded mount screw holes on the bottom, rather than just on the ends. Overall Review: Fans are nice and quiet, unlike many 40mm fans. Even under a high power load of 50% the ps stays cools and the fans quiet.

Pros: Short length (under 10 inch) with high power output Cons: None

Pros: Plugged this into an
ASUS M5A99X EVO
AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz
I’d label this as 20 + 3 x 4pin + 8 pin EATX, hard to stuff all the wires into the 1u case. Cons: Not much room for improvement here.

Pros: We have purchased 8 of these for 1U servers, starting over a year ago, and haven’t had any problems. Solid, reliable. Cons: Price could always be lower.

Pros: 1U compliant form factor Cons: Too many connectors for any 1U application causing airflow obstructions. Low quality fans and low quality internal components. Unstable at higher loads and runs really hot. The reason may be how the 12V is distributed across the rails. Non 80+ efficiency certified when searched this model on 80+ website. Non RoHS 2 compliant which is a major problem for integrators. Overall Review: Gave this product a try since it was more expensive than my usual preferred choice of 1U power supply. Surprised that it was so cheaply constructed. Better quality and less expensive choices are available.

Pros: Quiet, efficient. Cons: Lacks 8-pin 12V, unstable after a few months of use Overall Review: I bought this power supply to replace a supermicro power supply in my 1U server. At first, it was great. Far quieter, while also being stable. A few months later, my server started hard rebooting randomly. Started out doing so every ~3 days, then eventually started hard rebooting like every 30 minutes. Much troubleshooting went into the root cause– then I finally decided to put the old power supply back in (it was fine, just too noisy for home). After that, it’s been rock-solid since. So, the root cause was the power supply. It must have degraded enough that it stopped providing stable enough power, or something (I don’t have an o-scope to really back this up). I’m sure it didn’t help that my motherboard needed an 8-pin 12V cable. This server doesn’t draw too much power overall, though, so 4-pin 12V should be alright. It was at first, but eventually it couldn’t.
I’d recommend looking somewhere else for another 1U PSU… That’s what I’m doing now.

Pros: – Build feels high quality, fans push a lot of air.
– Fit perfectly in my Chenbro RM11704 1U Chassis
– Powers 2 x Xeon E5-2670s with 256GB of DDR3 ECC, 4 hard drives, and an SSD without any issues.
– This PSU stays cool, even after hours of usage.
– Tons of cables. Cons: – The wires felt a little low quality, however, the connectors seemed just fine.
– Tons of cables (yes – I know, I listed that as a pro too), when routing all of these cables in a 1U Chassis, it can be a little complex, definitely takes some patience, but I was able to do it just fine. Overall Review: – This is a 1U server power supply, so don’t expect it to be quiet. It is’t super loud, but it is by no means silent.
– Only 1 x EPS Connector, had to buy a 4 PIN ATX (P4) / Molex to EPS converter. Powers 2 x CPUs just fine after that.
– Only 80 plus bronze. I would’ve liked gold, but this is one of the few options of power supplies that actually fit in my case.

Pros: small
compact
quiet Cons: not sure…trying to figure out what happened Overall Review: had it installed on a NAS home server. The PSU just stopped working. No smoke, no fire (nocking on wood heavily). When the PSU stopped working, it tripped a breaker at the main panel and taking power off to several rooms served by that breaker.
Unfortunately, while the unit is still under warranty (surprise!) I can’t ship it as I took it apart trying to figure out what went wrong.
I will buy another one since I have two identical servers (one is a donor/spare parts). The second server will eventually be placed back online once I get more time to finish it.
