Pros: Affordable rack chassis Cons: I will have to buy rails or buy a shelf for supported mounting into rack.
I wish it was hot swappable out the box but at least you can buy modules.
    Wish they provided rails.
I wish they added a locking mechanism for sliding the top off and not the tiny four screws on each side. Overall Review: The sheer weight makes me think I will need to put this on a shelf to mount into my 19 depth rack. Its not a deal break just something else I have to buy for my PLEX Server project.
Plenty of space in this case and the fans that come with it are of good quality. Hence, I only have three fans turned on at the moment and my Dell r620 servers still mask the sound of the Rosewill fans.
Great aesthetics on the case, once again plenty of room to build out your parts. I didnt cut my arm on anything. I had it completed in about an hour or two and now my Unraid Plex server is up and running.

Overall Review: used and scratched front panel
    loosing components like used ones

Pros: – A lot of room
    – Decent fans if you go for the option with all the fans
    – Fit a finish is decent. None of the exposes pieces of metal seem too thin and the front grill + IO is fine. Cons: – Fans are all molex, but don’t have enough length to route the cables to everywhere in the case (maybe a con of the molex standard but nonetheless…)
    – Even though the rails are sold separately, it makes no sense to not mention them. The instructions to configure the rack mount supports, along with the rails, took longer than any other rack mount configuration I’ve worked with. Even then I’m wary the mounts will even hold the weight because they have seemed to sag over a few days.
    – The placement of the screws for the rack mounts are off just so that if you don’t read reviews, you won’t know you’re off by 1/3 U. Overall Review: – Why not spend a few extra dollars on the rail mounts to make them run a full width rack? I know rack sizes are increasing but if you’re buying this setup, there’s absolutely a max length to support.
    – As mentioned, the documentation needs a lot of work.
    – It would be nice to not daisy-chain all the molex fan connectors.
    – The case itself is sturdy and should hold up to abuse.

    Pros: – Large interior design
    – Unit we received had the 9 MOBO standoff pegs already mounted, not sure if this was a returned unit or by design, If by design, then it was thoughtful
    – Unit was very well laid out and easy to work with because everything is essentially screw removable and so that was appreciated.
    – Large enough to handle a large modern power supply Cons: The bad design of the HDD rails assumes that there is a middle HDD screw hole,
The design we received had rails which had PEG’s at the end of each rail and hole in the middle. This required drilling out the peg on the end and creating a hole for screwing the rail into modern WDD RED PRO HDD because the drives DO NOT have a middle hole.
This is a major goof-up in the design and is very unthoughtful and rude.
Without taking corrective action users of the case are unable to add HDD to the case.
Corrective Actions: Spend more money and replace the cages or buy cage rails at our expense, or drill out the rails provided and create holes where they should have existed.
Proper Corrective Action: The rails should be replaced with a proper rail set with 3 holes in them and NO pegs at the ends. Users can screw 1 to 3 screws into the HDD as needed.
    Additional Cons:
    – All of the fans are of poor quality
    – All of the fans are MOLEX connectors
    – Had to replace the back fans to convert them to PWM fans of choice
    – Annoyed with the locking cover door, really seems useless in practice and in modern racks
The wasted engineering and materials could have been better put to use providing better fans or something useful. Overall Review: Recommending it to others because of its adaptability, you can over come the tiny flaws easily
The case is very work bench friendly, you can unscrew and manage all of the contents relatively easily with its deep design and open layout.

Overall Review: You can fit a full size 12 inch graphics card no problem in this case notice maximum height is 7 inches I could not use the cooler that I have but its like the biggest one out there for air with that said I ended up buying a MSI mag core liquid 240 R v2 liquid cooling set up it fits inside without an issue the fans are pretty good they make a lot less noise than you would actually think the only downside is Molex connectors not always the best just remember your configuration of my configuration can be quite different
The case with without ears width side to side is 17 inches with the ears its the full 19 so you can mount this in a rack do be advised it weighs 32 pounds by itself

Pros: Spent over 3x for a 10 bay hot swap case that had terrible airflow. Same drives in this new case and the HD temps are down on average 7-10deg. Cons: Hate the molex connections for the fans. Is this 1999 still? Update the power cabling to fans and use 4 pin pwm connection. Fans work great but update the cabling already !!! Overall Review: Great case, would buy more if I needed them.

Overall Review: Purchased 2 cases to house my 24 drive (and growing) unraid server. I was originally in a Fractal Define 7XL, but ran out of 3.5″ HDD mounting points. Access to drives in this Rosewill chassis isn’t the easiest (non-hot swappable), but I don’t plan on changing them unless they fail. They are mounted to my 42U rack via iStarUSA TC-RAIL-26 which installed without issue. Cooling is very good, especially after upgrading the including Rosewill fans to Noctua ones.
Would recommend as a cost-effective option for

  8. Daniel G.

    Pros: +Plenty of included fans
+Actual EATX support, with holes for standoffs in positions for various MB configurations so board is properly secured to the chassis
+Lots of space to work in
+Price Cons: -Top cover held in place by screws. A tool-less, or at least single screw in the back would be much preferred
-No “knob” on the front cover. Unlike other chassis that have a “knob” to open the front and key to lock it, the only way to open/close the front is with the key
-Included fans area adequate for light to medium heat loads. If you are going to be generating a lot of heat either with GPUs or high-power CPUs then you may wish to consider upgrading the fans Overall Review: I would most def recommend this chassis. It’s a basic chassis that does what need to be done without breaking the budget. The cons listed are really more about informing future buyers what to expect than actual problems (for me at least)
