WINDFORCE COOLING SYSTEM

The WINDFORCE cooling system delivers exceptional thermal performance through a combination of cutting-edge technologies. It features server-grade thermal conductive gel, innovative Hawk fans with alternate spinning, composite copper heat pipes, a large vapor chamber, 3D active fans, and screen cooling.

ACTIVE COOLING DESIGN – HAWK FAN

HAWK FAN

The Hawk Fan features a unique blade design inspired by the aerodynamics of an eagle’s wing. This design reduces air resistance and noise levels, resulting in up to a 53.6% increase in air pressure and a 12.5% increase in air volume without compromising acoustics.

ALTERNATE SPINNING

Reduce the turbulence of adjacent fans and increase airflow pressure.

3D ACTIVE FAN

The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game.

GRAPHENE NANO LUBRICANT

Graphene nano lubricant can extend the life of sleeve bearing fan by 2.1 times, close to the life of double ball bearing, and is quieter.

SERVER-GRADE THERMAL CONDUCTIVE GEL

To enhance product quality and reliability, we have introduced server-grade thermal conductive gel for cooling critical components such as VRAM and MOSFETs. This highly deformable, non-fluid gel provides optimal contact for uneven surface and effectively resists deformation from transport or long-term use, unlike traditional thermal pads.

LARGE VAPOR CHAMBER & COMPOSITE COPPER HEAT PIPE

The large vapor chamber directly contacts the GPU, coupled with the composite copper heat pipes, which quickly transfers the heat of the GPU and VRAM to the heatsink.

SCREEN COOLING

Extended heatsink allows air to pass through, providing better heat dissipation.

ASTONISHING EXTERIOR DESIGN

The GAMING series draws the concept from mech warriors, blending the futuristic armor with mechanical aesthetics to deliver exceptional protection and powerful durability. It goes beyond mere appearances and functionality, offering a profound interpretation of futuristic technology.

MULTI-LAYERED VISUAL

Like armor, the exterior features a multi-layered structure combined with varied surface material finishes.

UNIQUE TEXTURE

Unique textures cover the curved surface, paired with the layering of appreance that give the GAMING design a strong armor-like identity. Every detail highlights a sturdy image and accentuates mechanical aesthetics.

RGB HALO

The legendary three-ring lighting provides excellent visual enjoyment. You can choose any lighting effect or synchronize with other devices in GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER.

SLIDING SIDE PLATE

Featuring a power armor design with a sliding side plate, allowing users to customize their build to match their unique style.

EXCELLENCE IN ESSENTIAL

REINFORCED STRUCTURE

The reinforced metal backplate with a bent edge, securely fastened to the I/O bracket, provides exceptional structural integrity.

DUAL BIOS (Performance / Silent)

The factory default setting is Performance mode, which provides users with the best performance. However, switching to Silent mode will enjoy a quieter experience.

POWER INDICATOR

When experiencing any power supply abnormality, the indicator will alert gamers by flashing light.

Pros: The thermals on this card are great and has to be one of the quietest cards I have ever used. I’m running this at 4k with the monitor AORUS FO32U2P and the card doesn’t break a sweat. Max settings on everything and this card just rocks. Have been trying to get a 5090 but after getting this and installing it I won’t even bother and will just wait for the next generation in a couple years. You won’t be disappointed with a 5080 or this card in particular. Cons: The slider on the card which allows you to show either the logo lit up or to choose the mech looks is cheap. Could of been designed better mine fell off when I was moving the selector but it easily snaps back on. Other than that no problems with the performance of the card. Overall Review: Very happy with the card.

  2. Mike

    Pros: Great cooling
    Amazing overclock potential
    DLSS works just fine
    Quite
    4 year warranty Cons: Massive
RGB for fans only work when fans are running
Not the best controls software Overall Review: First of all I miscalculated and ended up changing my PC case because this card didnt fit, its massive.
Coming from RTX 3080, for me the jump in performance is significant, tried with fake frames and without, it works just fine and you cant see see any issue unless you are focused to find them rather than playing the game. New MSI afterburner supports overcoming just fine, I could adjust power limit to 125, might be silicone lottery. Overall, performance is great, card stays cool and I dont mind the fake frames for AAA titles.

  3. Eric T.

    Pros: – Performance
    – Silent operation
    – Temperatures Cons: – Expensive
(- big if your chose a smaller case)
(- import duties to Thailand have gone through the roof) Overall Review: Previous computer built 4 years ago was a 6900xt / 5800x.
Made a new machine 9800x3d / rtx 5080 and the difference in thermals is amazing for both.
6900xt in Thailand with no aircon would easily reach thermal throttling and 95 degrees gpu / 105 hotspot.
This Gygabyte 5080 gaming oc stays at a cool 60 in normal gaming usage …
When the 6900 sounded like a vacuum cleaner, this card in silent bios mode barely adds sound to the pretty silent case with 6 140mm fans and 3 aio 120mm fans.
The card comes with a Gpu support bracket you screw to the card. You will find a plethora of people commenting about the lack of metal frame for the card, but the support for setting up the bracket is a solid chunk of metal … time will tell, and it feels solid to me.
The card works flawlessly in pcie 5.0 on a msi x870e carbon, with no crash in cyberpunk whatsoever. It was installed on a new win 11 install with the latest hot fix drivers.
Not 1 black screen issue happened.
Finally, I am really happy with the 4x frame gen. Not that I bought the card for that, but, in Cyberpunk 2077 using all max settings included RT settings (path tracing, ray reconstruction) … Frame gen 4x makes the game buttery smooth and I could not when doing basic testing see any artefacts or difference from native frame settings.
At 3440×1440 native, full cp2077 options including path tracing is simply not playable.
Using Dlss4 quality / framegen 4x, the game ran at 120fps as by magic with no obvious artefact during gameplay (am sure there are if you look hard enough).
The 12hpwr has a small led just on top which I guess lights up if the connection is faulty.
I dont think the card has a software power pins health detection as the high end asus one which would be great to have as a standard in the future really …
It took 10 days from the order to arrive on an island in Thailand, with extended clearance customs.
The parcel did a whooping :
    – Utah to Chicago
    – Chicago to London
    – London to Berlin
    – Berlin to Calcutta
    – Calcutta to Bangkok
Card was sitting comfortably in the Newegg parcel surrounded by air pockets.
    Parcel was opened by customs.
Parcel was found idly sitting on top of a scooter in the open while I was waiting for it for more than half the day 🙂
Fingers crossed these early days impressions stay that way !

    Pros: – Low temps
    – Quite silent
    – Very powerful
    – No coil noise at all
    – All ROPS* Cons: – *Nvidia shenanigans
    – Barely any availability
    – Way above MRSP
    – Some bugs (with DisplayPort second monitor turns black when some apps on main monitor go full screen, no issue with HDMI) Overall Review: Definitely a great card but by far the most expensive PC part I have ever bought. I’ll think twice before replacing it.

  5. Eric S.

Pros: Ray tracing performance, DLSS4, GPU temperature, warranty Cons: PRICE, VRAM Overall Review: Honestly seeing the reviews of the RTX 5080 didn’t exactly wow me just like many others especially compared to the card I previously used the XFX 7900 XTX. I started using Raytracing consistently in January and since the 5080 is a more refined Raytracing card I took a chance on it. With what has now been nearly two weeks of using the card, I have completely been sold on DLSS 4 MULTI FRAMEGEN especially when it comes to Pathtracing games. As more DLSS4 games release my decision will be solidified. I have ran into one issue with Indiana Jones being the first game to need more than 16gb of VRAM to play max settings including pathtracing. The GPU typically doesn’t exceed 61c when gaming and while the price wasn’t great the card does have a 4 year warranty from Gigabyte.

  6. SumDum

Pros: – For a gaming OC looks phenomenal
    – runs so quiet
    – unlike the 40 series has pretty good overclocking head room Cons: – wish there was a white version of gaming oc Overall Review: Overall a great gpu, sure it is pricey but if u make money like most people in the world should then saving for a gpu of this caliber is easy. Upgraded from a rtx 4070ti super just cause I felt like it and have not regretted at all. For those that are responsible and have money i recommend this product

    Pros: -Its a beast
-I don’t know if I received a “golden gpu” but it over clocks amazingly well, like I’m extremely surprised.
    – very little coil whine. Cons: – spent about 12 hours chasing my tail on stability issues that had me questioning my sanity and everything I knew about computers.. Overall Review: READ THIS IF YOU HAVE STABALITY ISSUES!!! This might help you!
    LONNNNGGGGG story short,
~Set your PCIE X16 to 4.0 speeds in BIOS if you’re having stability issues.
    Long story slightly longer,
~I spent hours trying to figure out why sometimes my new pc would fail to post, sometimes would post but windows would fail to boot, sometimes got past login and ran windows for a few minutes then black screen. MOBO debug display was showing all kinds of random error codes that sent me off in many different directions. I immediately tried installing just about every driver version I could find, updating my BIOS, etc etc no fixes; was starting to think i had a problem with the mobo… or maybe a dud gpu… until I saw a random reddit post recommending switching the PCIE X16 to 4.0 speeds from 5.0. Did this, and it worked immediately, everything stable, benchmarked good, no problems.
No idea if the issue is with my mobo, the gpu, or (most likely) the NVIDIA drivers, but this fixed it. Also, performance difference between pcie 4 and 5 speeds for a 5080 is within 1% so im just going to roll with it and try switching it back after a few driver updates..

Pros: No missing ROP issues. Fast graphics. Seems supremely stable running NVIDIA driver 572.83. Cons: Price was ridiculously high, but I was desperate. Fans get a tad loud. Retains the bad design of dumping heat into the case – no exhaust thru the back panel. Overall Review: The 5000 series of NVIDIA cards is most impressive. My 5080 so far, has done everything I’ve needed at 3440×1440. Can I tell the difference between 165fps and 139fps? Nope. So I didn’t purchase this card based on charts – and you shouldn’t either. As an avid gamer who works in IT, I appreciate the versatility of these cards. Does everything I need without heating my office up like a furnace.
